FAQ

  • The lessons are on Mondays from 6:30-8:00pm. They take place at the Chalet Des Erables near Camp Fortune. The first lesson is Monday January 5.

  • That’s no problem, as we will have both beginner and intermediate classes happening at the same time, so we can easily switch you over.

  • Ideally, classic and skate skis, although beginners can use one pair* for both. It is beneficial to have classic and skate boots, but beginners could use a ‘combi’ boot for both. It is important to ensure the boot bindings fit both sets of skis. You will need two sets of poles, as they should be different lengths. Classic poles up to the armpit with boots on; skate poles up to the mouth.

*Note: you can use waxable classic skis for skate skiing by removing the wax. However, it is not possible to learn/improve skate skiing using classic skis with ‘skins’ or ‘scales’. For questions about equipment, or information about renting, please contact us.

  • The program cost for the 2024-25 season is $180.00.

Additionally, all registrants must be affiliated with the Division/Nordiq Canada ($32.00) and purchase a Family or Individual Chelsea Nordiq Club Membership.
