ABOUT
The Bunny Rabbit program is designed to introduce children four and five years of age to the sport of cross-country skiing.
At Chelsea Nordiq, we offer an 10-week program in which children learn cross-country skiing basics through games and activities. Our focus is on offering a fun, positive experience in a small group setting. Volunteer parents and youth coaches enthusiastically guide the young skiers through their lessons.
A big highlight is the end of season Jamboree – fun activities, hot chocolate and maple taffy make for a winning recipe.

The lessons start January 12, 2025. There are ten Sunday afternoon sessions, including the Jamboree.
Session times:
Choose 1:00-2:00pm or 2:45-3:45pm

Most of the lessons take place at Larrimac Golf Course, 1148 Route 105, Chelsea. Some programs may do one or two lessons in the Gatineau Park or along the Voie Verte.

Each group will be led by a Youth Coach or Parent coaches. Training sessions will be offered to parents who help lead a group.

For most children in Bunny Rabbits it is beneficial to have a parent present. They often need the extra help and encouragement. It’s important that the children have a positive introduction to the sport in a fun environment.

Classic skis (skins or scales recommended) and ski boots that fit the skis. No poles. Skis should be about the same length as the height of the child.

The cost of the 8-week program for lessons winter 2024 is $160.
Additionally, all registrants must be affiliated with the Division/Nordiq Canada ($32.00) and purchase a Family or Individual Chelsea Nordiq Club Membership.
